TIE BREAKING FORMULA
If two teams are tied on equality of points in the standings after completion of the round-robin, the following tie breaking criteria applies:
-
- Team who won the game between the two teams tied.
- Team with most wins.
- Least goals against in all games.
- Best goal differential (best plus and minus) in all games.
- The team with the best goal average gains the higher position. The goal average of a team is to be determined in the following manner: Total number of goals for divided by total number of goals for and against.
- Note: All round robin games are included.
- Example: 10 goals for, 4 goals against
- Percentage: 10/(10+4)=0.714

-
- Team with most wins
- Least goals against from all games played.

Games
Each game will consist of three (3) periods of sixteen (16) minutes of stop time. There will be five (5) minutes of warm-up and there will be floods before the start of the warm-up and after the second period.
TEAMS MUST BE READY TO PLAY FIFTEEN (15) MINUTES EARLIER.
When there is a spread of more than five (5) goals with less than 10 minutes to play in the game, the game will go to straight time. It will not revert back to stop time even if the goals spread is reduce.
If a team does not show-up to play, the other team shall be awarded a 5 to 0 victory and shall also be awarded 2 points.
Playoff Games
In the event of a tie game during the playoff portion of the tournament, one ten minute, sudden victory period will be played and will begin with teams playing three on three (not including the goaltender). If teams are still tied after the ten minutes, we will go to a three (3) players shootout as the first round. If it is still tied, it will then go to a sudden victory shootout. Teams have to use different shooters until all available players from their team have participated (excluding goaltenders). However, when one team starts reusing players, the opposing team can also do the same (we do not want to penalize a team that has more players on the bench).
In the case of penalties during the overtime, for each penalty assessed, the non-penalized team adds a player; the penalized players jumps on the ice at the end of his/her penalty; teams then play 4 on 4, or 5 on 5 until the next whistle.
SPECIAL NOTE: If games are cancelled due to inclement weather, all tournament games will be shortened in order to complete the tournament.
Jerseys
The home team (second one listed on the schedule) will wear their dark jerseys; the visiting team will wear their white jerseys.
Time outs
Teams will be allowed one time out per game for all games.
