First awarded in 1999, the Unsung Hero Award is given to a player who’s contribution to the team’s chemistry is sometimes less noticeable than others. While this player may not be the most skilled or talented on ice, this person is a player who leads by example. He/she gives 110% in each shift she/he gets and works extremely hard in practice. His/her attitude is always positive. This player motivates and encourages her/his teammates no matter what the circumstance.
The winner of this award receives a gift from the host tournament committee. The winner’s name will be drawn at random from among all the nominees. Following this, the name of the winner will be announced and he or she will be presented with his/her gift.
We require this information before November 1st.
