50th edition of the tournament begins Thursday

The 50^th edition of the DNA Swag Dieppe High School Hockey Classic will begin at 5:15pm on November 20^th with 6 games on the Thursday evening schedule. The opening ceremonies will be held that same evening at 5:15pm for the Women’s category and at 7:00pm for the Men’s category at the UNIplex Centre (UNI surface). A skills competition will also take place on that opening evening at the UNIplex Centre. The COOP IGA surface will have the Women’s category at 7:15pm and the Men’s Division II category at 8:30pm. The Men’s Division I category will be on the UNI suface at 8:45pm. A total of 28 teams from New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec, and Manitoba will compete in the three separate categories. The tournament’s games will be played at the UNIplex Centre and the Arthur-J.-LeBlanc Centre in Dieppe as well as the J.-Louis-Levesque arena on the University of Moncton campus and the Eugène (Gene) LeBlanc arena in Memramcook. The championship finals are scheduled for Sunday November 23^rd at the UNIplex Centre. The tournament’s honorary chairpersons are Julie LeBlanc and Todd Pye.
